Reasons to Invest In Your Smile

A smile brings joy to your face and laughter to a room. Your teeth are behind that smile, and without healthy teeth, a smile can begin to fade.

By investing in your smile, you’re investing in your health and confidence. You’ll also prevent damage, save time and minimize your future dental expenses. If you’re debating whether or not to make your next dental appointment, read over these three important reasons to invest in your smile.

Invest In Your Health

If you don’t brush and floss regularly, plaque builds up on your teeth. We all know this can create a cavity, bad breath or icky feeling teeth, but we’d like to mention some of the things you don’t hear dentists talk about every day.

When you take care of your teeth, you’re taking care of your body. Having good oral hygiene habits will reduce your chance of getting sick. When harmful bacteria festers in your mouth, it can be carried to other parts of your body through your bloodstream. Poor oral hygiene and gum disease have even been linked to diabetes symptoms, heart attacks, and memory loss from dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Invest In Your Confidence

Invest in your confidence

Have you ever felt embarrassed to smile because of your teeth? Do you stay away from smiling in photographs, laughing along with friends or looking in the mirror?

When you smile more, you live better. It’s become kind of our motto at TenderCare Dental . We witness it every day. We’ve seen firsthand how a brighter, healthier smile can truly transform someone’s life.

We want you to live a life full of smiles. That’s why we study and practice a number of cosmetic dentistry procedures. Whether you want to straighten your teeth with Invisalign, or restore stained and yellow teeth with teeth whitening, we’re here to help you gain a new level of confidence.

Invest To Save

Invest To Save

We know this may sound backwards, but investing in your smile is kind of like saving up coins in a piggy bank. For example, say you want to go on a family vacation one year from now. If you consistently put a portion of the money needed in savings each month, you can budget for the vacation. If you wait too long, you will not have the funds needed to enjoy the benefit of the special vacation at the end of the year.

So you say a vacation is not a necessity. While this may be true, we want to remind you that your teeth are a necessity! Without your teeth, you wouldn’t be able to chew food or pronounce words – two basic functions of daily life.

If you wait to invest in your teeth until you have a serious toothache, you’ll end up spending more money on restorative oral surgery procedures such as crowns, bridges, or partial to full dentures.  It will be harder to pay a large chunk of money at once for more serious procedures than it will be for a simple teeth cleaning every 6 months.

The Time to Invest Is Now

The best time to start investing in your smile is now. This looks different for different people. For some, this means brushing twice a day or remembering to floss. For others, it means scheduling a dental appointment. If you haven’t been into the dentist in years, that’s ok! We’re here to help you get back on track to a healthier smile no matter the circumstances.
